At the recent MTLC meetup in Boston, one thing was obvious: AI isn’t a future bet anymore. AI is on the to-do list. The room was filled with tech leaders, founders, and decision-makers ready to move past the “AI is coming for our jobs” headlines and get serious about real-world implementation and enterprise-level execution.

As a tech partner with serious experience in data and AI, NIX was proud to join the conversation. Our Head of Data and AI Practice, Max Ushchenko, joined a panel of experts to break down what “AI-ready” actually means and how companies can get there without losing sleep (or budget).

Here’s what kept the audience engaged:

  1. What does it really mean to be “AI-ready”?
You can’t build on shaky ground. The right tools are only useful when backed by clean data, clear strategy, and real alignment across teams. Max shared how we help organizations check their AI maturity and plan a roadmap that fits their goals.
  2. How do you balance innovation with governance and responsibility?
AI isn’t the place for “we’ll figure it out later.” We discussed how to experiment responsibly with strong internal guardrails, well-defined ownership, and systems that don’t leave people guessing how they work. Because in production, mysterious models are no one’s friend.
  3. Who should lead the charge — and how do you bring everyone with you?
From C-suite buy-in to empowering engineers, we discussed how true AI success comes from alignment across the business. Max highlighted why cross-functional collaboration is key and how NIX supports clients with both strategic guidance and hands-on engineering. One well-scoped sprint at a time.

This event was another great step for NIX in Boston’s tech community, where people aren’t afraid to ask the hard questions, share a laugh, and get serious about building what’s next.

We’re excited to keep showing up not just as developers, but as real partners helping teams make smart moves in AI.

Big thanks to MTLC for the platform, and to everyone who brought their A-game (and coffee game) to the table.

Let’s keep the ideas—and the tech—moving forward.
