For the third year in a row, the NIX team took part in BioTechX 2025 in Basel, Switzerland — a key event at the crossroads of biotechnology, digital health, and data-driven innovation. It brings together professionals who blend deep technical expertise with real-world experience, creating the perfect environment for meaningful discussions and collaborations.

Warming Up — Literally

This year began with something new for us: a morning run organized by the event. Our three representatives joined just a few weeks before BioTechX — not quite enough time to become marathoners, but just right for a good warm-up.

And it wasn’t just the legs that benefited. By the time the sessions began, Olena, Peter, and Natalie were already fueled with endorphins and ready to take on the day’s talks and networking.

Celebrating Milestones Alongside Work

Between tech talks and meetings, we had another reason to celebrate. Olena Parkhomenko, our Sales Development Representative, marked her birthday right at the conference. The team made sure her day included more than just data dashboards and pitch decks — there were flowers, sweets, and warm wishes for both professional success and personal growth.

Let’s just say the cake turned out to be the most effective morale booster of the entire event.

Key Topics of Discussion

Throughout BioTechX 2025, several themes repeatedly came up as priorities for biotech companies integrating technology:

  1. AI implementation — in drug discovery, diagnostics, and operational processes.
  2. Cloud services optimization — handling large datasets while keeping systems compliant and scalable.
  3. Data analytics — converting complex datasets into actionable insights.
  4. Data infrastructure — building systems that support efficient research and development.
  5. Cybersecurity — protecting sensitive research and patient data in a digital-first environment.

Insights from the Booth

A common theme among attendees was the need for specialized certifications and qualifications to work on pharma and biotech IT projects. This shows a growing demand for teams that can manage both technical and regulatory requirements, particularly in AI, cloud, and data-related work.

With years of experience in delivering secure, compliant, and scalable solutions, NIX continues to support organizations in meeting these challenges with confidence and efficiency.

Looking Ahead

The team left Basel with practical insights, promising collaboration opportunities, and a few personal moments that made the experience memorable. Morning runs, birthday celebrations, and shared discussions reminded us that combining technical expertise with human connection helps teams work better together.
