Business Overview

The client runs a large software development enterprise that constantly seeks new talent, which necessitates an effective recruiting process. However, attracting qualified candidates with the right skills and cultural fit was too resource-intensive; it incurred significant hiring costs, due to the excessive time and labor required to manually process job applications.

The client wanted to automate and optimize job candidate filtering by implementing a custom online system to identify future high-performers with long-term potential. They chose NIX for our ability to handle complex development projects that require deep technical knowledge, a flexible custom approach, and expertise in non-standard areas—in this case, psychological assessment.

Project Scope

Our team set out to develop an advanced web platform focused on talent discovery through gamified psychological testing. The goal was to pre-assess candidates’ soft skills and cognitive abilities and find the best match for the client’s values and needs.

Solution

Building on the client’s existing Moodle infrastructure, we created a fully customized platform, enhanced with tailor-made plugins. The system comprises a suite of automated psychological assessments, integrated with a powerful reporting module that delivers in-depth analyses and clear, actionable insights.

By joining forces with NIX’s expert psychologists, our engineering team made the interview process more engaging and effective by developing interactive tests and games grounded in sound, evidence-based research.

Reporting

Using web application frameworks including React and Laravel, the NIX team developed a robust reporting system to ensure seamless data aggregation from unlimited sources. This system consolidates each candidate’s test results into a comprehensive report in an intuitive, visually structured format. Recruiters can easily and efficiently assess key candidate attributes, compare multiple profiles, and make informed hiring decisions based on data-driven insights.

By partnering with NIX, the client successfully transformed their recruiting process. Their new system streamlines and optimizes talent acquisition, thereby not only maximizing efficiency and resource allocation, but also ensuring that only the best candidates move forward in the hiring pipeline. This has significantly improved candidate relevance, by minimizing mismatches and achieving a stronger cultural and skill-based fit.
